2022 Gewürztraminer

A bold and intense Gewürztraminer bursting with classic aromas of lychee, rose petals and apricot, along with pear, papaya and honeysuckle. A touch of sweetness on the palate, a full body, richness and intensity are balanced with crisp acidity and flavours of peach, pineapple, rosewater, Turkish Delight, cloves, ginger and some stony mineral notes which run through a long finish.

The winemaking team sourced the highest quality, hand-picked grapes from our own home vineyard block and grower fruit in the valley. It was a later-than-average harvest and the grapes benefited from the extended hang time. They were fermented separately before being tasted, aged for 5 months and blended together, with the best being used to make this aromatic wine.

Pair with a squash curry, cumin, turmeric and paprika spiced chicken or a laksa noodle soup.
