2020 Red Horizon

An intense, ripe blend of the Bordeaux varieties with a little of the deep coloured German Dunkelfelder in the mix. The nose shows ripe black cherry, fig, blackberry, and black plum with notes of vanilla, Christmas cake, black licorice, cocoa and pastry crust, and a subtle hint of dried sage. Full bodied and ripe on the palate with firm tannins, crisp acidity, and creamy richness showing coffee, dark chocolate, bacon, stewed berries, and blueberry with a savoury tobacco note on the finish. Pair with braised short ribs or mushroom and black bean burgers.
